Patmos is an island in the Aegean Sea whose mythology surpasses its minuscule size. Formerly known as the Island of Letois after the Greek goddess Artemis, the mythology says it used to be submerged under the sea, and that it was Artemis’ divine intervention that made it emerge from the depths.
